Reporting Grief or Other Damage to Property

You may report griefing or other damage using two methods;

• The Independent Department of Urban Housing & Development (IDUHD), which may enforce rules. However, we are unable to compenstate you for your loss. You can send an image and description of the damage to us via FileExpress GLCO#2. You may use the cover note.

• The Server Magistrate, which enforces rules and can order compenstation (home rebuild, financial, etc.) to be given, even if the other party cannot or will not furnish the compenstation. You may have to pay filing fees (if applicable and legal) and go through a hearing process, where an attorney is advisable, through the court system. To get started, visit the Courts page. 

Petitioning Abandoned Buildings

The Independent Department of Urban Housing & Development may petition to the Server Magistrate that abandoned buildings may be removed, relocated or modified, including transfer of property authority. The following requirements must be met for building to be petitioned;

• Must be unused by a player, include passively, for at least five months or 152 days, where all of the following are met;

  • • The building does not give some kind of item to a player for the entire period of five months, and

    • The building does not transmit items to another location that is being activley used, and

    • The building is not a government building, emergency building, or memorial, where;

      • • Emergency building refers to a building used in response to any emergency, or

        • Government building refering to a building used for government procedures, state, local or server.

• Must be outside a registered state's or community's legal jurisdiction, unless all of the following are met;

  • • The registered state or community does not have a legal process to address abandoned building, and

    • The registered state or community does have its own legal definition of ownership that exceeds the rights of the server's property authority allowance, this is not applicable to communities (LCL2Cs).

While the Department is the only entity vested with the authority to petition the Server Magistrate, we accept requests for peition through FileExpress GLCO#2. Please include the Postal Code or Coordinates (X, Y, Z) and a photo of the building showing at least the presumed front enterace, if existant. You may attach the coordinates and request for peititon (no length required, should just say that a petition is requested) in the cover note.

Property Authority

Property authority—which is not ownership—is the legal authority of a player to control the relocation, modification, transfer of authority, or other changes to a property in the server. The following rules apply;

• Part D, §PRP (Property) of the Federal Register.

  • (b) In land classifications, except Land-Classification Level 2 Communities (LCL2Cs), property belongs to the person who obtained or built the item unless they otherwise relinquish the ownership through formal means.

  • (c) In registered states or LCL2Cs, the government of such local structures should define the definition of ownership or property. If no such definition is provided, then (b) will become binding onto such entities until a definition is furnished. Such governments can use different language when creating rules, laws or other binding statutes regarding ownership and property.
